Check your particular carrier. Verizon and T-Mobile both have them. AT&T doesn't have them on their online store yet, but some brick and mortars have them. Sprint I'm unsure of. Best Buy has them also.

The LTE version will work fine over BT without activating. I can't answer your battery life question for sure because I don't have the WA 2 yet. I believe most people are getting 1 1/2 days to 2 days though.
