Whenever I send a long text the other person just gets symbols ..

Why is that.? She doesn't have a smart phone but this is my only android phone out of the hero and evolution shift that this ever happened.. idk what's going on. On her side it looks like random.symbols and no words.

What SMS are you using? I use Handcent, and if you send 160+ char text from CDMA to some GSM systems (AT&T mostly), this happens. Check your SMS program and choose a split option and you will be fine.

Same thing happened to me. I split it through Handcent, problem solved.

I use stock. I just did it the split option I hope it works
