Where are all my pictures??

[Android Central Question]

I spent an entire day using my brand new S9 to take some really important pictures. A day later I look through them ho find almost all the pictures I took are gone. I didn't delete any and I am not connected to any clouds. I plugged my phone into the computer and couldn't find any of them. I tried a data recovery app, nothing. I have clear the gallery cache, app data, and restarted my device multiple times. There is no ".nomedia.file" in my files to delete. I have no SD card, everything to saved to the default locations. These pictures are apparently nowhere. I must have lost close to 50 pictures. What am I supposed to do?

Have youl ooked in the Photos (not Gallery) app?

Yes I looked through the DCIM folder, the pictures folder and all other folders.

They are apparently no where to be found and I am 9000% positive I took the pictures.

I guess that may be a faulty device. I'll move this to S9 for comments from other users.
