Where are my backed up notes? Please help

I was getting a replacement device so I did a backup using Astro of a few important things. One was the program"note everything" where I had some important notes.

When I restored "note everything" on my new Evo, all the notes were gone. Only the program was there. Does anyone know how to get those notes back? Are they hidden somewhere?

I wish there was a way to have notes sync to the cloud like calendar & contacts do

I don't know anything about Note Everything but I use the 3-Banana note app which syncs up with Snaptic.com so your notes are available both on your device and on the Internet. Much easier to enter long notes on a computer and then sync them up. I tried Evernote but it needs a data connection to see the notes on the phone which is a deal killer for me.
