im trying to upload pictures i took to the computer and when i go into mass storage mode i can't find them the only pictures i can find are the ones i put from my comp to the phone but when i unplug the phone it shows all my pictures in 2 different folders. how do i find the pics and/or move them to the sd card.

check in the phones internal storage - on your phone go to /emmc/DCIM/100MEDIA or on your PC look for your phone's internal storage instead of the SD card and look in the DCIM/100MEDIA folder
my guess is your camera's settings are set to save images to the internal storage not the SD card - you can change that setting in the camera app

I haven't played with the Droid X yet but...
On the Droid Incredible you open the camera app, hit menu (or slide out the menu tab on the left side of the screen) and click on the bottom icon that looks like two gears and then select Storage - it gives you the option for Storage Card or Phone Storage

No storage option in the camera settings, at least not on my DroidX. Must be somewhere else, I'll keep looking.

or I can try and visit the local Verizon kiosk at lunch and play with their demo unit to see if I can figure it out

I would also like to know how to find my photos/video. I can see them in the gallery but cannot locate them in ASTRO. Also, I have no directory on my phone named " /emmc/DCIM/100MEDIA " would the fact that I have LauncherPro installed affect that?
Astro by default (at least on my phone) starts in the /sdcard directory - you'll need to back up one directory where you should find the /emmc one
and I'm running LauncherPro Plus so I doubt that has any effect on it....
Yeah I went up one level from /sdcard to just / and still I dont have an emmc directory...weird. My X also didnt come with a friggin battery pull tab at all so I guess this is just par for the course 
Found them. Used the ASTRO search function and searched for all files from yesterday over 500KB (since I knew I shot some short videos yesterday.)
