Bought my new phone yesterday and i love it except the battery life! I'm a heavy user and i probably get 4-5 hrs in a singls charge. Thats not going to cut it. Is there any tips to improve battery life? If not how and where can i get an expandable battery?

Seeing as you just got your phone yesterday, and presuming you got it new, the battery will take a few days to even out charge and use. It will drain quickly for the first few days. I would suggest to wait it out a few days and see if it goes up

Oh really? I didnt know that. i just came from blackberry for two yrs which had good battery life

I can confirm that it takes at least 2-3 days for the battery meter to be calibrated by Android. Also, make sure you give it a good full charge each night during that time for best calibration.

I highly recommend the 3000 extended battery. I too can confirm it takes 3ish days to calibrate the standard battery, but the extended was worth every penny of the $25. Even using the thing nonstop for 12 hours (music, maps, everything), it had 28% juice left. Awesome.

Just came from the store and didnt realize the 3000 battery adds a hump to the cover. The phone is already borderline uncomfortable in my pocket, plus it takes away the look of the phone and I already got a case for it

I average 18-24 hours on the 3000mh battery while what I would consider average usage. I check the web and facebook thru out the day and occasionally watch videos if I get stuck waiting for a dock while out doing deliveries for work. When I start playing games or anything that requires the screen on all the time, I can kill the battery in under 6 hours, but that is also screen always on time.

Wow sure is tempting to get that extended battery. but to the owners with the standard battery how many hrs u guys get?

im ranging 14-16 hours on standard battery on what would be average use for me. Occasional facebook, 20-30 texts including pics, maybe 10 minutes of talk time, occasional browsing, and light gameplay. This will usually leave me in the 30%-40% area in that 9pm-11pm area. I went 12 hours yesterday with about 3 text, and 5 minues of calling. and only lost about 15% of battery life. I contribute ost of that to not returning my phone to CDMA only mode, I do not get 4g in my area, the searching for 4g signal will drain your battery.

Also is anybody turnign their phone off at night when charging? My phone stays on 24/7.

I just got my Spectrum. I had an EVO 3D and so far the battery on the Spectrum is incredible. I'm up and off the charger at 6am. By now, my evo would be at about 40%. The spectrum is at 62%. So far so good.

mine was the same way ... the 1st day or two. Dont be discouraged if your battery life drops for a couple days, it will come back.

Made it home, still 28% battery! Off charger at 6am. Battery has 2 cycles so far. Been draining it to under 5% and then going to 100%. I'm really impressed so far.

It DOES appear that it would work. LG Nitro HD is the same phone; just on AT&T. $18 for 3800 mAH is very good. Let us know how many hours you get, and what the battery cover feels like.
