Where can I find the Serial Number for my Nexus 7 2nd generation tablet?

I recently purchased outside warranty from SquareTrade and I want to register my tablet for the warranty. I am asked to input the serial number for my specific tablet but I cannot find it anywhere on my tablet. I do not have the box anymore and I purchased the tablet from Ebay. When I go to settings:About Tablet: Status, there is no serial number information in that section. What do I do?

Try using the IMEI number. Since that's even more specific than a serial number (2 manufacturers can use the same serial number, an IMEI is unique to a single cellular device), they might accept it.
