Where did my contacts go?

About a week ago I lost my pull down contact list on the main screen. Last time that happened, I just turned off the phone and turned it back on and they came back. Where did they go and how do I get them back?

Yes, the widget. The one that has a single line of contacts, until you pull them down to open up a large list.

Have you tried press and hold. Choose Widgets. Select favorites?
