AC Question

I went to use my phone this morning and my "buttons" at the bottom are gone during all app use and even on settings. Where do I need to go to turn these back on? Was this an "update" flaw? I even rebooted my phone, but they will not appear...

Welcome to the forums. What device do you have and which version of android is it running?

I'm the one who posted the original question above.

It sounds like you got the new update that allows you to hide it.

Swipe up from the bottom to bring them up and tap the little dot at the bottom left of the bar. This will "lock" it into place so they won't disappear again.

And once you have it back, you can turn off that feature. Settings > Display > Navigation bar > Show/hide button. Then you won't toggle it accidentally, as kept happening to me.

When in any app or program, the only button on the bottom that works is the stop or home button. The other buttons on either side don't work at all unless at home! This means if I go in to anything the only way out is home, then close, which brings me back to square one? If in fa ebook and write comment, can not return to where I was, but have to hit stop, then return button, then close, then restart facebook... square one. Help@@

I have seen exactly this happen when an app, or something in the OS, has crashed. A restart fixed it.
