Where do I place my custom text tones?

I made a separate folder and transferred my ring and text tones on my S9+. I am able to add custome ring tones, but when I try to add custome text tones I only see the list of tones that came with the phone.

I apologize for the dumb question, but I am coming from Windows Phone and I am trying to find my way here.
