Where have all the Android enthusiasts gone? The forums seem very quiet any more, often with thread posts days old or more.

Is this a sign of the times ... so MANY new smartphones that the Android community has become scattered? So sad.:(

I think it is more.that folks have settled into using their devices. Now that most phones are eclair or mainly froyo, there is not as much of a need for troubleshooting individual devices.

Also, due to the excellent work of the moderators and advisors, we have a number of very thourough reference threads so that folks are not posting the same questions over and over again.

So I think it is not a loss of interest or users, but an increase of knowledge available and increase of knowledgeable users. And both of these are good things. :D

Plus, it's nice outside and though it's an anathema to some of us, others like to get outside and DO things. <<Shudder>> ;)

We are fragmented!!!! :D

Today, I found a list of all current Android-based phones on the market, across a variety of carriers. I counted 130 of them!!! Most released after the X. Yet, the X remains competitive with even the latest and most powerful. I think that is amazing in every respect.

Many of us have learned what we needed from these forums and moved on into enlightenment - I am here nearly everyday in the Evo forums to see if someone may have asked a question that I can answer or comment on... Other than that though things will be slow until there is a new hotness and a large mass of ppl hop on like was the case for the Evo al maybe when new versions of android come out...

New devices, especially Motos,HTCs,and Samsungs get alot of postings at first but after about a year(or sooner) the new device is older and superceded by newer Android devices.Be thankful you're not in the SE Forums..........zzzzzzzz.

I'm switching from a fascinate to a charge..so yeah in my case getting fragmented a bit.
