That's crazy , why Verizon![]()
Glad I don't have themThey've been removing Samsung features for a solid 5 years now if not longer. In this instance it's to push their cloud service on customers.
Years ago they removed some of the maintenance screens including where it showed RAM usage, presumably to reduce customer service calls on customers concerned about high RAM usage or some nonsense.

There was a time they were they only one in my area with service. Then as other carriers caught up Verizon still had the best coverage map for rural and travel. Plus they had Verizon messages which let me text from my PC and tablet way back in 2014 before anyone else offered the ability, their cloud service was originally free as well and worked great. Now at this point I'm grandfathered into an old plan and even switching to T-Mobile would raise my bill.
So while it's annoying how they modify software on some phones it's overall been worth putting up with.
Yeah that definitely takes priority is service if the other not good in your area. I had Verizon like 12 years ago, very expensive at the time, then went to Att which was expensive and had for awhile, switched Tmobile and was horrible in my area at the time so decided keep Att as back up. Where I lost service. Now Tmobile works really good in my area compared to 6 years ago no issue but end up keeping Att also lol. There was a time they were they only one in my area with service. How Samsung allowed that unbelievable.Just another feature Verizon has stripped out of Samsung phones.
Yeah I blame Samsung as much as the crappy carriers for continuing to bend over back to them. Yes I get carriers control sales channel etc but have some pride SamsungHow Samsung allowed that unbelievable.
