I preordered mine from Best Buy but that was only because I'll be getting a $50 gift card from them since I registered my cell number with them a few months ago. The deal was if I signed up then, the next time I bought a new phone I'd get the gift card. I was told by BestBuy that they give you the gift card when you pick up the phone and you can use it for that purchase so I'll be getting my GSIII for $149.

I ordered at a company store for $218 and am having it delivered to the store. I was told that it would ship by June 13 and arrive on or before June 21.

I pre ordered from ATT to my house. I usually pick phones up on launch day. I have heard so many horror stories with pre orders, delivery etc. If they launch in the stores before I have mine, I will go to the store to pick one up and return the pre order. I keep hoping I will get it in the mail before June 21!

<-- same as the others for Best Buy. That $50 Gift Card is a pretty big deal. Best Buy's basically giving you 25% off a new, top of the line phone.

That's weird. I have pre-ordered 4 or 5 different phones over the years. They all arrived before retail launch (except 1 which arrived on launch day). Maybe just lucky. I could never figure out why people stand in line... Or worse yet, camp in line

I got a text a few months ago stating that if I replied to the text I could register my # with Best Buy. By doing this, when I'm ready to upgrade my phone I would get a $50 gift card just for purchasing it there.

Ohh I see! So its to late for someone like me who has not done that then I take? Sucks to be me anyways! Oh well. Either way I think I still might be pre-ordering from BB.

I did the BB thing too. The cut off was Feb 18th or about. I registeted all 4 lines on my family plan. Two of which are eligible for upgrade. I hope I can take both gift cards and apply it to my GS3 purchase. 50% off would be sweet!!! The other phone is going to be free for my mother-in-law. You get $50 gift card on a free phone too. Think I'll get hers this Saturday , hold onto the gift card, get the GS3 when its out and voila , $100 in gift cards.

if you preorder from best buy without the contract extension they charge $699. What a big ripoff.

I'm pretty sure they will price match what AT&T is charging in store when it's released. they always have higher off contract cell phone prices hoping people won't now they can get it cheaper somewhere else. Probably works sometimes but when you go pick up the pre order just say ATT is only charging $550 off contract, can you match? They will say yes.

You are correct, they will price match. I already confirmed this with Best Buy.
