Some blogs say that an update is available for the htc one, which is 4.2.2, but I can't seem to find it. I searched for an update but it says that there's no update for my device. Has anyone updated their device yet?

Another question, my phone is unlocked, so my update will be available as soon as htc releases it, right?

Also, it is recommended that you stay away from OTA's after you unlock/root your device as this can cause issues with the phone

No, I bought it unlocked, all devices are sold like this in the middle east.

Personally I'm not rooting my one. There is a update that will be available to all ones sometime in the future unless I'm reading each article incorrectly.

I am currently running ARHD with 4.2.2 it is super smooth and I haven't had any issues to report. I like the new quick settings as well as having my battery percent natively supported. It's good stuff. Oh and no more 3 dot menu in facebook. You can map menu to the home button and just Swype up on the home button for google now. It's really slick.

If I was reading correctly...those of us with AT&T branded phones CAN install international roms (as long as we are unlocked and its of the GSM/LTE flavor correct?)

Not available for my unlocked One in England yet :-( goodbye black bar! :-D

I have an unlocked version, it's the 801e version, but I still don't have the update.

Is that normal? I read is out for all unlocked international models...

Now we wait for word from sprint and at&t as to when we can expect the update to hit

Be prepared to wait awhile then (most likely) as its no secret that AT&T and Sprint do not have a greatest track record when it comes to releasing updates in a timely fashion, if at all sometimes.

This can be said about every US carrier. None are unique. Updates come when they come. Honestly my phone runs wonderfully. The only addition I'm anxious for is being able to assign the home key as a menu key to get rid of these three dots
