Where is the weather app?

I'm disappointed in myself for not being able to locate the weather app. Confused. I have the locked in place weather widget on the lock screen, but what about the weather app? I know it exists. It's not in my app drawer, and no, I have no apps hidden or disabled. The only way I find anything related to it is by going into the app manager, I do see it there, but I can't open it from app manager. I can't seem to open it from the lockscreen widget either, I've pressed, long pressed, swiped, etc.
I'm sorry for making such a superfluous thread, but I've run out of options. Thanks much.

I don't believe there is a default weather app installed. When you touch the weather widget it pulls up info from AccuWeather. If you want an actual app you will have to download one. Someone else can please correct me if I'm wrong.

It doesn't show up in the stock launcher. But if you use a third party launcher like nova or action launcher then the app does show up. It is weird but I guess that is how HTC wanted it.

Thanks. I sought help from HTC. Yes, there is a weather app that is separate from the widget, but can only be accessed via the widget. Which is not working for me. Apparently, according to HTC, I have a wonky device. They recommended visiting and Verizon store and/or factory reset :(

Add: Doing a factory reset now, will update.

Add 2: Factory reset did nothing. Still can't access weather information beyond looking at the lock screen widget. Boo.

You can't access the weather app via the lock screen widget. You do not have a wonky device. You need to use the weather widget on your home screen to access it.

You also did not need to factory reset:/

You are mistaken. You absolutely can access the weather app from the lockscreen widget, at least on VZW. You just have to long press and then tap the weather icon. HTC recommended the F/R, and since I've only had the device a week and had only put 4 apps on it, it wasn't the end of the world. Sucked, but not badly.

Speaking on behalf of Sprint version but I've got a weather app icon in my applications list. Simply called "Weather" with a sun and cloud icon image. It is part of the stock software load and provides the same view seen via the Sense Clock/Weather widget. Hope that helps.

I also have Sprint. I installed a (stock) widget that looks like a digital phone with weather & temp below. When I press the temp I get a full display of weather; options of hourly, now, forecast, etc. You can add other cities if you travel. Can someone tell me the method to get a screenshot on the M8? Is it the same as my old EVO?

Sure is a weather app in the app drawer on the AT&T version.

Hold down power and bottom volume buttons simultaneously.

I have the weather app. Np need to install silly launchers or Rouge 3td party apps.
