The original thread keep getting sidetracked about people sideloading it etc. The original question still stands, has anyone with tmobile received the OTA update? please do not post here if you've sideloaded it as I don't care to hear about that. I've tried the wifi and cellular network to no avail yet.

So far I haven't heard of one person receiving the T-Mobile OTA update to 5.1. Thanks!

No problem. I'd say just to have patience, I'm sure it'll show up sooner than later, unless a big, bad bug is uncovered and halts the rollout.

The main thing that I am looking forward to from that update is the volume control issue. It's very frustrating when I have music playing and I'm trying to adjust the volume for the ringer to vibrate or to turn it up etc.

This update is rolling out to 1% of users every day,be patient I can take up to 100 days

Wow! Is that true? Where'd you find that info? 1% of users seems really low, considering the Nexus 6, although a very well received device, is not one of the top sellers out there...

I thought I had read 1% the first couple days, then 5%, the 10% until 100% usually taking 2 - 3 weeks!

I guess I was next in line,I got the update at midnight, I don't see anything different, tomorrow I'm going to see if band 12 and volte works

Can you confirm the build version? There seems to be a difference between what's reported and what's actually being deployed...

Why won't you guys sideload it? It just seems like if you do not know how to sideload or do anything that require technical skills with your device then nexus isn't really for you.

I appreciate your perspective. Lack of technical skills certainly do not pertain to me. I have my reasons for buying a Nexus 6.

When I bought my nexus, it didn't say "warning: do not buy if you have no technical skills!" I bought this phone because I didn't want to wait 90 days to 6 months to get an update on my phone. I bought this phone because I happen to like Motorola products. I bought this phone because it had the latest technology at the time. I bought this phone because I wanted to use lollipop as it was meant to be. I have at least 10 more reasons that I chose to purchase the Nexus over any other flag ship phone.
But, do I wish to sit down and learn how to unlock boot loaders and type code and whatever other nerdy stuff you need to do to get an update before they go OTA, HELL NO!

Why jump on this thread and try to show your prowess when you're actually just sounding like a dweeb? We'd just rather wait for the OTA, hence the thread!
