I've always purchased my phones from official verizon stores in the past. So now I'm wondering what the differences (pro's/con's) of buying a phone from best buy or straight from verizon's own store. I have a $25 off coupon from verizon so would that mean the their store would be my best deal? Any help will be appreciated.

This is probably in the wrong section since it's not a thunderbolt specific topic so I apologize but this is the section of the forums that I've been trolling for the last couple weeks.

No one seems to be talking about purchasing this phone online or over the phone with telesales. Is this not an option? Are these poor options? I have a NE2 I want to use but don't have time during the week to go into a store. Thoughts?

I'm in the same boat as you, as it looks right now non of my local stores have any information and aren't showing stock so I'm kinda screwed in that dept. I'll have to buy online or over the phone Wed night but I also have to upgrade my current plan to add data which I would feel much better doing in person but what can you do I guess. At any rate I've been told you can just order online with free overnight shipping but does the phone come activated or will I have to go to a store and do that? I've always gone to a store so this will be a new experience for me, anyone ever have problems doing it this way?

Mayhem, I've purchased phones online before and they do come activated. Generally you have to call a phone number to activate but all the instructions come with the phone. Hopefully we can order online Wednesday at midnight.

NE2 here as well but.... Work out of town and wont be back until after 5. I have ordered online before but I won't be here to sign for it and they won't leave it at the door or ship to my work address. I really would hate for stock to run out so I'm waiting until Wednesday to decide the best option.

I really hope best buy sells it for $249.99 and I dont have to argue with them over it.. I pre-ordered it the first day they started, it was originally advertised at 249.99 and verizon is supposed to have it at 249.99 so if they try selling it for $300 and wont budge an argument will take place :-P LOL

With Best buy they offer another form of insurance on top of the
the insurance that Verizon offers. Plus the fact I have seen some
posts here that BB might be selling the phone at 249.99 in stead of 299.99?

Now if Verizon is selling the phone at 299.99? you might as well get down to
BB and see if in fact the price there is 249.99?

If not? Verizon here you come with your 25 dollar coupon

Guess I'll be at my local Verizon store Thursday morning. Thank you.

Why not ship to work address- I have had two phones and 1 netbook shipped to work- works out great for me as I work in a busy Dr's office and get can not easily get to a store during the day.

Best Buy will be selling it for $249 until Saturday. After Saturday the price will go up to $299, so make sure you get it before then.

And Verizon will have it for $249.
