Can someone lead me to where I can make complaints/feedback about how Google's speech-to-text engine has become unusable? And I can't find any replacements for it either. Dragon *might* work if I wanted to give them $15 a month for their app they falsely advertise as free.
If I wait even 1/10 of a second before saying "period", it will write the word "period", same with "comma" which it sometimes writes as "Kama". If I wait more than 1/4 second after saying anything, it shuts off detection and I have to hit the mic button again.
It no longer seems to understand grammar of just about any kind anymore. It will create ridiculous sentences. It doesn't seem to know the difference between then and than, it gives strange results for simple words like "the" and "is" and "of" and "she", sometimes replacing them with things that don't even sound remotely close.
I have very clear pronunciation and a decent speaking voice, I've been a DJ before.
I can't seem to find any appropriate place to ask about this.
The speech-to-text engine took a dump as far as usability back in January of 2015, but what has happened to it over the past couple months (and especially over the past couple weeks) makes it unusable---and yet, we're watching so many apps come out that are ONLY available on mobile..... so I'm supposed to go with typing MAYBE 5-10 words a minute on the on-screen keyboard? Or maybe get a bluetooth keyboard that can only be used when I'm sitting at a table and cuts out letters randomly no matter what keyboard I get? Man I miss smartphones with nice slide-out keyboards.
I'm so frustrated now. And Android emulators for Windows like Bluestacks are really buggy, so that's not an option either for most apps.
I rely on speech-to-text all the time on my smartphone, and I can barely use it now, and I can't find anywhere to give feedback about it because it's not an actual app.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
