I'm wondering is PlayStore the one and only Android market you guys focusing on? Since it's so big the android market.

I'm a indie game developer, found it's so not easy for new game to survive on PlayStore. Here are some other android app store we do:

Opera, that's one of the biggest to us
Mobango
Amazon
Yandex

btw, does anyone know that does Huawei has it's own appstore? Except for the local Chinese market.

I usually post my apps and games only in Google Play Store and Amazon Appstore.

What are your experiences with publishing on Amazon Appstore compared to Google Play in terms of installs and interactions?

Is there any good 'marketing' tips you find useful?
Found it really hard to get new games exposed not even say downloads on these big platforms.

I barely do anything after publishing. But the it's too hard to get exposure not to say installs for new apps/games on main platforms.
Since the keywords/description are very important as said, tried tools like AppAnnie/SensorTower but still can't figure out the best way to optimize. What words are best to use in description so that the app/game could appearing when searching. :(

Depends on your budget! If you don't have too much budget. It is all about organic traffic. Social Media, Website etc..! SEO and ASO!

For marketing, I tried making youtube videos and appealing to google searches with unresolved answers. Links to play store and Amazon marketplace in the description of the video.

But at the end of the day, 95% of my installs are derived from a Play Store search.

I work on Youtube as well! But it takes quite a while for the video to go popular, or let's say to get thousands of clicks-on. But once it does, it is quite good a way to drive in installs.

I tried making a promo video everyday for a week. Got **** all. Tried appealing to SEO friendly terms.

Getting 10,000 views on Youtube is dirt easy. Just need to get lucky with the right search terms with one video I guess. There's a video of my car with a bad fuel filter that has 2,000 views. I wish my app videos did that well.

Do you mind to post a link of your video here? I'd love to check it out XD
