Which Generation? Moto X 1st, 2nd, 2013, 2014, 2015, Pure, Dev?

I'm sure I'm missing some vital search term here:-\
somebody help me out: is there a definitive thread somewhere to help me understand the diffs in Moto X models? Which one are the devs interested in mostly? I'm wanting to pick up an unlocked Moto X for some hackery etc and can't get clear on mondel NUMBERS [XT 105#, XT 1060, et al]

if someone knows top-of-mind, which ones, if any, have the T-Mo WIFI CAlling app ? any? [I know Google has been the enemy of such]

Xt1053 developers edition is GSM with an unlockable boot loader and zero carrier bloat ware.

I should have dug a bit deeper: none can load the Tmo WIFI calling applet... that's a kill for me.
