which is the best camera app

Guys..need help with getting the best out off my moto x play camera

Though I understand..picture quality mostly depends upon the quality of hardware. Like sensor, aperture size,ois etc..wanted to know how much can an application or software help you..

I am more interested in knowing does it really make a difference if I am using a moto stock app,google camera app or other third party app..during the time of capture..I am not interested in post capture processing and filtering capability..I want the capturing of the image as accurate as possible
IF the software really makes a difference..can you please suggest which is the best app to use here?

Camera FV-5 works well, but I tend to stick to the stock app because of the twist to launch gesture

Cyanogen Camera was great on my old Galaxy S3 and it has a reputation of being better in low light. Unfortunately, I can't make it work on my Moto X Play. The app crash each time I try to open it. If you want to try it for yourself, you can get it on apkmirror website.
