Welcome to Android Central! The first two phones I thought of were the Pixel 2 and the Huawei P20. However, Samsung always makes great cameras and the S8 is no exception. Plus, it'll be offered at a discount now that the S9 is out.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus launched at the end of february are good ,if you're mostly going to look at your pictures on the phone, then a phone with OLED screen technology can really make your snaps pop .

Yeah, the current selfie king is still the Pixel 2. From regular snaps to portrait shots, it still captures the best images. It mostly all comes down to processing... And HDR+ still reigns supreme there.

I have the P20 Pro, I'm not much or a selfie taker, but the low light performance of the front camera is damn good, but the Huawei processing isn't what I would consider the best for selfies.
The battery, however, is remarkable.

If it is only those two things you want the P20 is the phone you want high quality front camera and a mammoth battery I really get 2 days out of mine first phone since the smartphones come out
