Hi!

My last 2 devices were Nexus devices. I really love stock Android and fast updates for the new Android versions.

But I didn't like the camera and battery life with Nexus 5. For Nexus 6, battery life is expected better, camera is expected to be in midrange, but I think this phablet ist too big for me.

So I would like to ask you, is there a manufacturer, which delivers near stock Android and provides updates fast and for a period which is more than a half year?

I already had a HTC Hero in the beginning, but updating was a bad story. First they said they will provide an update, then is was delayed, delayed again and again (for 1 year I think) and then they told to buy their new phone because there won't be an update for the Hero.

Thanks for your answer and help.

You could get a Google play edition phone (but they aren't compatible with att and vzw)
Or you could get a Moto x, Moto g, or Moto e.

Motorola. Verizon's Moto X got Kit Kat less than three weeks after Kit Kat was announced. No one else was nearly as fast, and no one else delivers a "near-stock" Android experience.

OnePlus One

ETA: There's noise in low light, but in good lighting the camera is good.

Thanks for this link, thanks also for all comments in this thread.

So it seems that just Nexus, Motorola or HTC devices are suitable for me.

But Motorola doesn't have the best camera's I read. Not easy to decide :)

And remember that HTC isn't "near stock".

Motorola is usually very good about pushing updates in a timely manner.
