Which network mode is best?

I have the unlocked version of the Note 20 Ultra using a Verizon sim. Out of the box the network mode selected is GLOBAL. Is this the optimal setting or should I select LTE/CDMA? Would that make any difference? LTE/GSM/UMTS is the third option. Thanks!

I switched mine too the LTE/CDMA since I don't have 5G where I'm at. Suppose to save on battery also, that I don't know.

I've got the unlocked from Samsung and using a Sprint sim. My network mode is recommended to be automatic. So that is what I have it on. It's been on 5G which surprised me as I didn't think my little city had 5G yet. Must be the T-Mobile towers kicking in.

I had mine at 5g/lte/3g/2g but and was connecting to 5g everywhere but seem to use more battery so have it at lte/3g/2g and testing
On Tmobile

Yeah same with me, plus I noticed that on T-mobile 5G, I was losing my connection even though the phone showed a connection

Yeah Att doesn't , from what I remembered on the Note 10+

Probably because AT&T still has a lot of older plans (like mine) in use that don't have 5G enabled. Can't have users stealing the 5G without paying more for the plan now can we? LOL

I was always told Global was best. I'm not sure if I saw that here or who told me.

So I always kept mine on global and am not paying for a 5g network currently. I just didn't know if Global will still try to constantly search out 5G or not.

That I'm not sure. I don't have 5G around me and probably won't for many years. When I was told to keep it on Global, 5G wasn't even available.
