I want to be ready for Lollipop's Smart Unlock feature with NFC tags in my car, bedroom, man cave, etc...

What is a good starter pack of NFC tags? Decent quality, good value?

I prefer Amazon first, eBay second but will use a 3rd party site...

NOTE: Searching NFC tags on Amazon/eBay turns up a
lot of hits.. Just looking for a recommendation from someone who has used them...

thanks!

Issue with NFC tags is the limited distance. Unless you're right next too them, they're useless.

I have the Moto Skip so I use it both for my Moto X and Nexus 7, but you basically have to turn on the screen and tap the back of the device on the tag to have it unlock.

NFC unlock is a waste. I got a Skip with my moto x, and it is pretty much useless. I'm much happier using trusted Bluetooth with my moto 360.

Can be useful as a way to unlock your smartphone if you can't remember your PIN or if it doesn't work for some reason.

Add your credit card as a trusted device, so this way you have a workaround.

Gotta agree with the others who talk about using BT devices instead of NFC. I have my NFC turned off normally but have added my BT car stereo as a trusted as really the only time I don't want to be unlocking is when it's in it's cradle and I want to bring up Maps or something.

The NFC tag type you need should be dictated by the phone you have.

Also, for the car you don't need a tag, just use the in-car BT device as a trusted one. I'm doing that now so that every time I'm in the car and paired I don't need a pin.
