I care about that. If the outside case if made of indestructible metal, but the inner parts are cheap and prone to short out on humid days, then I'd rather not buy it. Obvioiusly that's just a weird example, but none the less I'm probably more concerned (at least just as concerned) about the quality and craftsmanship of the *actual* working parts of the device. I generally consider the outside casing nothing more that aesthetics, especially since I generally use a case anyway...
That's kind of the point that was being made, people are referring to "build quality", but only judging this aspect based on the materials use to build the outside case and buttons, and not the internal working components.
The S4 is the best overall phone of the pack, it's a fully no compromise device.

Yes its the best overall but it isnt a no compromise device. They compromised on the plastic body. I think it will have a great build quality but the build materials could have definitely been better

Everyone complains about build quality but the truth is you folks are complaining about whether a phone is made of plastic or aluminum. Is that really a hill you folks want to die on? People complain that plastic phones feel cheaper but they put putting it in a case......that aluminum phones feel more sturdy but they actually damage easier (iPhone 5 as an example). My experience is that the Apple phones were actually easier to damage than any other phone I've ever used. Looks are important.... but functionality is the determining factor. Build quality is based on functionality durability. As far as build quality I'll put my Gnex up against anything.....I could care less if it's plastic or aluminum. It looks cool it functions great and it's durable. What else matters?

I've seen way more iPhones have cracked screens than Android phones. That might just be bad luck though.

I think that is because God smites them. I asked Facebook God once about the android/apple thing and he said they rock S3's in heaven.
