Which processor is faster...the Moto X4 Snapdragon 630 or the Nexus 6 Snapdragon 805?

The moto x is a brand new phone with presumably new tech but has a lower processor number than a premium 3+ year old Nexus 6....does that mean the Nexus 6 should be faster? Trying to decide whether to trade my Nexus 6 in for the Moto x4 and what kind of performance I could expect relative to it.
