I was reading about how you can run roms from sd card so you don't have to change any of the hardware so I thought that'd be perfect. I am wondering if any roms are better than the others or if they all pretty much do the same thing, I was kinda partial to honeycomb cuz it was made for tablets but I wanted to check with you guys first I am really interested to hear what you all think. Pretty much the only reason I want the rom is so I can get apps from the android market and started wondering if cm7 and honeycomb (or froyo) are all compatible with all of the same apps or not.
Another thing I came across was manual nooter which I think you can use install it with stock and it enables you to download apps from the market and be able to watch youtube videos but you would have to install that on the nook instead of running it from the sd card and would there be advantages to using the nooters instead of a rom??
Thanks for all of your suggestions

CM7 is by far the best rom. It has the most development and is tablet optimized and almost all other roma for the NC are just themed versions of it.

Do not use honeycomb. It freezes, glitches, has graphics problems and has compatibility issues. All of this is because Google is not ever going to release the source code.

I'm running CM7 + Clockworkmod to EMMC on my nook color also. I've tried just rooting, running different ROMs on SD and device and this one runs the best! Love it!!

I wanted Honeycomb, and i used it. It worked, but was buggy. I tested out CM7 via SD card and after a month it installed it on the eMMC.

+1 for CM7

I too did a honeycomb SD card install first and then switched to cm7. Honeycomb was very pretty but was not as responsive as cm7. I love my nook color with cm7 now. Will be sticking with this for the foreseeable future. Thanks to the community for all the info since the stock os pales in comparison to cm7.

I've been running CM7 since I rooted and I am basically getting a bit bored with it. Are there any other non- ROM Manager ROMs out there that are stable? Since CM7 seems to be the only active development besides MIUI (HATE them though), everything else is nothing more than a derivative of CM7. I'd even like to see some one put a Sense (everyone HATES that it seems though) ROM out there for the NC, especially since I am just not smert enuf two due et.

Nook development is basically just cm7. Almost every other rom is just a themed outdated version of it Phiremod, MIUI etc. There's honeycomb but don't expect it to be a pleasant experience.
