Which screen protector are you using with your Otterbox Defender?

Right now I'm still using the built in screen protector.

Not entirely sold on leaving it in, but for now I'm living with it.

I've been thinking that if I take it out, I'd be worried that the screen would get scratched over time by putting it in the holster.

I wouldn't worry about scratching your screen when inserting the phone into the holster. The lip of the Defender case is so deep that the surface of the phone never makes contact with the holster. Your best strategy may be to put on a screen protector like the Steinheil Nano Clear.I just put one of these on and the improvement over the Defender's stock protector is immense.

Re: Which screen protector are you using with your Otterbox Defen

I hated the "screen protector" that came with the Otterbox Defender. So much so that I removed it from the case the same day I got it. It made my beautiful screen look blotchy and full of watermarks, and... almost cheap (and I did try the talculm powder trick too). I went without a SP for a few days then decided to get an anti-glare and anti-scratch SP put on - it's great. I can't even tell it's on and it really enhances and protects my phone. It's better than the Ishield (IMO). I paid about $19 CDN for my SP, but that included having it put on the phone for me. Well worth it. You can get similar screen protectors on ebay or Amazon, they are even cheaper. Make sure they are anti-glare though.... it makes a difference.

Digging up an old thread. If you removed the screen protector did the case still fit snug against the phone. I would think dust and crap could work its way in . Not true ? TIA

When I was using the otterbox defender (using an extended battery now) I was using the Armor suit. Didn't like the one it came with at all, the responsiveness was very hit or miss.

hate the screen protector that comes with the otterbox but when I removed the screen protector, the case never snaps in all the way. This happened with my iphone 5. Just tried it with my s4 and same thing.
