I have been using hd widgets for years with Nova Launcher on all my phones. It is no longer available in the Play Store. I can't find one on apk mirror. For you guys using Nova or other launchers, what are you using for your weather on the home screen, if anything.? Right now I am using a Beautiful Widgets weather one, but I don't like it plus it sometimes fails to update.

On Action Launcher they have an At A Glance widget like Google, but yeah you could go with KWGT.

Before you give up using any widget because it doesn't refresh you can try to set it to 'Don't Optimise' in the battery settings and see if it makes any difference. After Android 10 some widgets have this same problem.

Thanks for the replies. I turned off battery optimization for my weather app and I'll see if that allows it to update properly. I'll also look into KWGT. I knew about it, but have never tried it.

KWGT is great. It's a bit more complicated than good old Zooper but much powerful. You can download and apply many different templates from the PS until you decide to make your own widgets. Good fun.

I used to think this too, but it doesn't take too long to learn how to use it.

Agreed. When I started using it I downloaded a couple of skins and started messing with them and understanding how it works. Once you get the general structure the rest is just digging in the countless options.

I still miss my beloved Zooper, though. R.I.P. :'( :)

I subscribe to the Dark Sky weather app, so that's the widget I use.

I use the 1Weather app. I love the round weather widget. It's cool. But I'm still searching for and open to using another weather app.

I use Weather & Clock widget app and it's superb IMO

I have the BBC ones for the local weather too; gives me 2 different perspectives on the weather then ;)

Wait, HD Widgets isn't a thing any more? I'm still using HD Widgets and Nova launcher.

I'm also using transparent clock & weather w/Nova.
I always like my widgets to have shortcuts to various apps built in and this app does it well.

Beautiful widgets was a huge battery drain once I disabled optimise battery. I ended up uninstalling it.

bw still updates perfectly for me, so ive been using it. looks like its not updated to work with android 10 though. doesn't seem like there is a good replacement for me though

I decided to stick with it too. I took it off battery optimization and now it updates hourly. Yes, it hasn't been updated for Android 10, but seems to work ok.

Today weather has a nice widget where the clock clicks through to the stock clock app and the temp clicks through to the today weather app, which is pretty sleek.

today's widget looked good, but I dont need or want the clock. the other 1x4 ones didn't have the current weather and the forcast
