While connecting my Galaxy Note4 into my laptop, why doesn't the installing bar seem to mo

I connected my Galaxy Note 4 phone to my Lenovo laptop. The PC reads it, I read the following prompt; "Please wait while Setup installs necessary files on your system. This may take several minutes".
The bar has been in the same spot for hours.
