While on phone how do you look at other apps.

Let's say while on the phone, I wanted to look in my memo pad or book a date in the calender book, how do I go about this?

If you mean while in a call, hit the back button or home and do what you need to do. The status bar will flash green meaning you are still in a call and when you want the call screen back up, either drag the status bar down or click the phone/dialer icon.

If you hold the home button a screen of your running (and recent) apps will open also.
