White Elephant Gift?

You pick a name out of a hat and buy a gift for that person under a set amount of money (usually like 20$) then everyone brings the gifts in the day of the event. At the event everyone puts the gifts in a pile, then picks a number out of the hat, higher the better. Whoever has #1 picks whatever gift they want first, BUT, #2 can steal or choose another one, and so on and so on.

Oh I've seen that done before - I've just never heard anyone call it a white elephant gift.

I've always referred to that type of gift swap as Yankee gift swap.

Thanks for the silk boxers idea. They got the first season of Three's Company on DVD haha. Last year, I gave away a combo of chili, toilet paper, beano, and Arrogant Bastard Ale.

We did this last year... After much debate, I decided to take this picture of myself doing the "Buddy Christ" pose from Dogma, Autographed it "YOU'RE AWESOME!! Hugs and Gumdrops, Chris" and frame it with a $25 iTunes Gift Card hidden behind the picture... That way, when nobody fought for it, they would realize it was a better gift than it appeared... Turns out people did fight for it and it now sits in my Regional office where all the big wigs can see... FML... Anyway, if you know the people well, that may be a good gag...

EDIT: And if I had half a brain, I would have realized you only had 24 hours from the 18th... Sorry...

Well depends on how well you know the person but a years supply of condoms or those new jells that heat up their love life might be in order...Again you really need to know the person your giving it too.
