White vs Silver GNex - OTA Updates the same?

Hello,

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I am having internet connectivity problems and am having problems loading searches (I'm hoping this would actually post).

I am looking at buying a brand new White Galaxy Nexus. I found one for sale from a local seller. It's an unlocked GSM model, so I am wondering if it will receive updates direct from Google. I remember reading from Engadget that it may not get updates from Google since it had a different firmware name (YAKJUWX if I recall correctly). If not, I'll just go for a normal silver version.

You can make any phone you buy a "yakju" or "takju" device. Whatever it comes with is irrelevant. The factory images can be downloaded and flashed just fine on any i9250 GSM model. You'll then be stock and receive OTAs normally (you won't be rooted or modified).
