White "X"

Just updated to AT&T's version of KitKat today. A few new "features" to figure out.....

I just woke up the phone to find a white X centered at the top of my home screens, just below the notification bar. Touching the X spot did nothing. However I powered down the phone and re-powered it and it is gone. Anyone know if that means something??

Only time I've ever seen this is usually during a reboot or factory reset when there is no signal for the first couple of seconds.

Yes and remember it happened after your update, so perhaps all your radios and things weren't turned back on yet. Hopefully that's all it was, cause that's the only time I've seen that happen.
