Option 1: Go all-in with Open WebOS, own the ecosystem but take the risk of low adoption

Option 2: Windows Phone 8. HP is already going to make Windows 8 devices.

I think it has potential to up-end both Apple and Android. MS seems to be doing it right with this one, and MS / Nokia is not a bad team to throw in with.

I, personally, wish they'd take WebOS somewhere.

From a business perspective, WP8 is the better gamble.
