Who got in "under the wire" for the Verizon weekend "glitch" to order a G2?

I did. That's why I jumped on the g2 and didn't wait for the nexus

After seeing the leaked specs in the instruction manual, I'm kind of glad I didn't wait. Some of the specs seem a little underpowered and I REALLY like the 5.2" screen. It seems like just the right size for a large screen. Not cumbersome like the Notes or Max size but still really large and clear.

I did the alternate upgrade thing to keep my unlimited. I dont know how anyone can live with 2 gig

Lol yeah I was hoping for that too. I will be disappointed if miraculously does come to Verizon though.

I honestly won't. I will be getting enough stock android and unlocked bootloaders with my N7 and the wife's N4. The Nexus 5 with its smaller screen and battery over shadow its superior design and unlocked bootloader when compared to G2.

Even if the G2 is still on 4.2.2 by next year I don't think there are features I'm really scrambling for from stock Android. If anything I need LESS features and I'm constantly looking to dumb things down and turn things off with this G2

When I was going to bed last Saturday night, I saw the reports about all the people upgrading and keeping unlimited Data. I started to pull the trigger then but I decided to wait until Sunday morning to see if it got corrected and orders got cancelled. When I woke up and it was still going, I decided to give it a shot and use the VERIZON30 code and got 2 LG G2 for $139 each. It just said "contract renewal" on my receipt and confirmation and the phones shipped today with a delivery scheduled for middle of the week. I won't believe it worked until I activate the phones but since Verizon said they will honor all orders from this weekend, that's got me stoked. Sometimes it pays to be a tech geek!

Anyone else here slide in under the wire?

Yeah I did the same that Sunday I saw the posts. Ordered online and picked up at store and they activated it and I followed up and they agreed to keep the unlimited. Used the verizon30 as well. The only phone I was holding out for was the nexus5 but this forced my hand and I will be beyond 14 days by the time it is announced. But with this deal and my work discount, it is great. I really like the phone.

It's down to $650 outright. I put my on swappa with case and screen protectors for $600. I think that's a legit price. If the G2 wasn't out, I would have just bought an Iphone to sell and keep the Maxx.

I was considering holding out for the N5 too until the "Glitch" but I SERIOUSLY doubt it will wind up on Verizon. The N4 never did. Since, spec wise, the G2 and the N5 are almost identical with the edge leaning towards the G2 (larger screen & battery) I don't regret it. I've really come to like the buttons on the back and the knock-on/off feature. One thing I've noticed since putting a case on it, finding and using those back buttons is even easier because my hand falls right in the correct spot.
