Just out of curiosity, who would get one? What features would you like to see, or not see?

I would definitely get one. I would like to see a 8 or 13 Ultrapixel camera though

Should it appear with the microsd slot that appears in the leak pics, then it's a top pick for me.

I love the HTC One, just the <5" screen and lack of expandable storage are turn-offs for me. This would solve both problems.

edit: Also, I wondered when the AC staff would decide that the Max was no longer "rumored"

I had already decided I was going to trade in my Note 2 and upgrade to the Note3, then I heard the rumors about the Max. My main gripe with Samsung is the weak reception with both my Evo and Evo 3D and other HTC phones reception was never an issue. Right now the Note 3 is top of the list because I don't know the specs of the Max. I'm hoping they are the same or better than the Note 3 because I want the phone.

If HTC really wants to compete with Samsung I see no reason for them not too add expandable storage. Just reading everything about them saving cost by using a slower processor makes no sense at all.

I'm not really interested in Samsung products in general, so I'm really hoping that HTC don't drop the ball on this one.

Definitely, since they no longer have the aluminum unibody excuse to fall back on. And especially if they go full brain-dead again and give the 64GB away as a carrier exclusive.

No kidding. You can save a lot of costs by making it out of wax and taping an image of a screen to the front, but if it doesn't sell because of it, what's the point?

I only went with the Note 2 because of the screen size. I was hoping HTC would make a screen comparable to the Note. HTC has to go for the gusto with the Max and throw the best of what they into it.

For me it's between this, Nexus 5 and the Note 3. Of the three, I'm really pulling for the One Max but will wait to decide.

I would maybe depending on the changes. If it's mostly just an oversized HTC One it wouldn't be worth it.

Honestly ,as awesome as the note 3 is ,it's going to be a somewhat disjointed experience just because of Samsungs policy of throwing everything plus the kitchen sink .The sprint version of the max being the second Triband phone makes it a no brainer for those wanting an optimal network experience when those additional bands become available. The s600 is no slouch and I doubt HTC is going to compromise the speed of the device...if anything 2013 has taught is software optimization is key ,regardless of how much horsepower you have under the hood.

Really hoping HTC hits a homerun with this new device. I am a little dodgy on the HTC Mini built type with plastic sides but i hope its better then the mini. I will be gettin gthis or Note3 would perfer to get HTC products though. I think battery life will be better in the Max then Note3 from some of the leaked specs but who knows.

No. There's really no advantage over the One and I really can't stand that Plastic edge (like on the Mini).

Only good thing is it's tri band but many more phones will be that from here on out so no need to purchase this unless it starts out at a really low price on contract :)

I am thinking about getting this phone for the screen size but I would have to see what it looks and feels like in person to make a final decision it's either this or note 3 still love my note 2 :)

That's subjective.

A larger One with expandable storage is exactly what I've wanted since I found out about the One, and that's pretty much exactly what we're getting.
