WhoIsIt using lots of battery power

I use SystemPanel to monitor how my apps use battery power. For the most part, their use is moderate -- the system is usually the biggest user. But WhoIsIt has become a consistently close second in battery use. Is there a configuration setting that would modify this?

I really like what WhoIsIt does and don't want to remove it but at the same time I would very much like to reduce its footprint on my battery usage. Any suggestions?
