T-Mobile Galaxy S8 Whole bunch of Spotify issues

Posting here because I'm not sure if this is a Spotify issue or GS8 issue... but basically I've been having a bunch of annoyances with Spotify that seemed to start a couple of months ago:

  1. Music skips (almost like a scratched CD) out of nowhere. Happens regardless of if I'm on Wifi, and temporarily resolves by turning the screen on.
  2. Player controls on the lock screen randomly disappear (i.e. where you can see the playing song and skip/pause without unlocking the phone). Causes me to have to unlock the phone and open Spotify.
  3. Possibly related to above: Whenever I'm listening on a wifi or Bluetooth speaker and the lock screen controls decide to disappear--and then I unlock and open Spotify--Spotify has lost track of the playing song (i.e. the speakers are still playing what they were playing but that's not the song Spotify shows).
  4. When I'm playing music in my car via Bluetooth, the song that my car shows isn't what's playing (i.e. it may be a song from earlier in the playlist). Changing tracks doesn't update it.
  5. When I turn my car on, Spotify fails to start playing (it used to auto-play upon connecting, which is what I want)
  6. When I turn my car off and the phone disconnects from Bluetooth, Spotify will start playing the song from the speaker (instead of auto-stopping when Bluetooth like it used to, which is what I want)
  7. When I turn my car on and Bluetooth reconnects, even when I do open Spotify manually (which I shouldn't have to), it loses track of the playlist I was on (i.e. I can't find a play button anywhere). I have to go find the playlist I was on and restart it.

These *might* all be Spotify bugs because Google Play Music has none of these issues. But it seems odd that they've all sort of cropped up around the same time, so I thought I'd post here first since I'm certain there are many other GS8 users of Spotify.

Needless to say, I would have dropped Spotify for Google Play long ago, but unfortunately it's the only major player that supports my wireless Samsung speakers.

So... Anyone else have these same issues?

Thanks.
