I know, the complainers are complaining but I feel that Google has brought an excellent value in their Nexus 4 product today.

So, let's hear it; are you getting one? Why? Why not?

Obviously I'm buying one. Love the Nexus line, love vanilla Android, love the idea of paying less for the phone AND the service than what I would with a stupid carrier, and love the idea of wireless charging.

Hell yeah Woosh, I'm getting one too. I have been on Sprint for a few years now, and even when WiMax was doing really well in my area it was hard to justify the cost knowing that there are products of excellent quality being released at much more affordable prices.

I think the device is sleek, sexy, at a great form factor; and hopefully the camera is as good as they say it is. I have been using an iPhone 4s for a few months (my first iOS product) and I cannot wait to get back to Android, and this is the perfect device for that.

Are you going for the 8 or the 16?

Even though I would have liked to see a 32gb model, removable batteries and micro SD card are overrated, welcome to 2012.

You do know its probably never coming to sprint right?

Why do you say that?

Because CDMA carriers have been a complete headache for Google when it comes to their nexus devices. You obviously aren't up to date as to the past issues with Verizon/Sprint Nexus devices. Don't hold your breath if you're waiting for a Nexus 4 on Sprint.

I won't lie, I like having a removable SD, but the on-board storage is much more efficient. Plus, like many are speculating, the 32 GB version will probably be announced in a few months pending the success of this device.

No LTE means no go for me. After using LTE for a year, I'm not going backwards in bandwidth.

I'll put a GSM-A Straight Talk sim in this thing and we'll see how it goes.

I need an unlocked GSM phone to use during International travel and this fits bill perfectly. Lack of LTE doesn't bother me because I'd never be able to use it overseas - the few countries that have rolled it out use different frequencies. I'll just pop an International sim card in there and be good to go in every country I travel in.
My only bind is I leave on my next Europe trip on Nov 24. I sure hope I can get this in my sweaty palms by then!

See Mazo, this is all part of the Nexus vision. Freedom of choice. What a glorious rainy day.

First, regarding LTE, read this.

Secondly, the no SDcard slot should not be a surprise. This is a well known and well discussed Google policy. That being said, it sucks, but it is what it is :).

LTE is such a non-issue IMO. But I understand that, that is MO, and for others it won't be that simple. I just, this device and 4.2 has me smitten with Android/Google again. J Tops from The Verge did an interview at Google campus that is also a must watch. That guy Hugo Barra thinks about and innovates his platform in ways that could save Scott Forstall's job. Ooops, too soon?

I was on Sprint SERO for about 2 years before I jumped ship waiting for any sort of 4G or even dial up like speeds to relieve me, got tired and moved on. I am now much happier.

Idk about the 8 or 16, I'm almost certainly going 16 esp since I have been doing a lot of video lately. But then I found that Google auto uploads my videos when I'm over WiFi to the cloud so I can pretty much just delete photos and videos and still have them whenever I want. I also don't game and rly don't keep too many songs on my device.

I still think I'll be going 16 but its not 100% decided yet.

lol

Don't get me wrong, I adore my LTE, but the lure of the Nexus 4 may be too strong.

I'm going to say No to the Nexus 4 right now.

Unless I end up traveling out of the country for work.

The T-Mobile/MetroPCS merger is going to define my next carrier.
