Tempted to try the Fold 5. I can get it for around the same price as an S23+ on a 36 month deal through Verizon trading my Pixel 7 pro in as they are offering $1000 credit for it over 36 months. They did this with the S23 ultra when it was released so I may just end up waiting for the S24. I don't want to have to sell my Tab S8 to offset the extra cost as I'm also paying on that as well. I love my Tablet and the Fold would have to replace it.

Jumping into the Fold world for the first time with the Fold 5. Traded my S23 Ultra Got the 512gb black, Spen/case/front screen protector combo, Buds 2 Pro. After the $50 reserve credit, and the bundle prices on extras, my total before tax is 875. Also with Rakuten I get 12% back which is 105. So total price before tax is 770. I might also try and sell the Buds 2 pro. I already have Buds and Buds 2 so I really don't need them, but the price was so good. Even if I sell them for 100 bucks thats another 50 in my pocket.

Hope I'm not disappointed in the phone.

I'm in - Blue ZF5! Have to wait until Sep8 for it with the ice blue Spen case. The Blue (and a gray) are their pre-order colors though that's a bit of Wait!
Got the watch 6 lte silver bundled for a total of 1064.
I figured been basically "leasing" phones from Samsung the last 2 years as I finance it through them, and if I trade in now rather than wait, I'll get $200 more.
YMMV. Good luck with your orders!
Peace

I might try to make it into a Best Buy before the preorder time is up to see if they have any on display. The fold is supposed to be a teardrop style so it's less harsh. Maybe it will diminish the crease. There's also no gap when it's folded.

I still prefer a slab and am not sure a foldable can replace a phone and tablet for me.

I do love the fact that the finger print unlock is on the power button just like it is on the Tab S8 that I have. I don't know why they don't put that on the S line.

I think it's just technology for technologies sake... in-display fingerprint sensors seem cool and high-tech, which they are. But there is no escaping the truth that a physical sensor in the power button is just better.

I will trade in my ZF4. I bet I am one of the very few that are doing this because I never felt more of an unnecessary upgrade than what I'm doing. BUT, I've accepted the ZFold as my second Android phone and am refreshing it. :) Also, just like clockwork, the inside screen protector is starting to come undone at the middle edge. (Just like last year and my ZF3 at that time!).

To be honest, I am more excited about the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and the return of the rotating bezel! I love my Watch 5 Pro but I just miss the rotating bezel so much. The touch bezel wasn't doing it. Too bad it's a smaller battery and no more GPS Route feature, but I'll deal with it. :)
