I have never traded in an old phone before. I opted to trade in my original Pixel Fold when buying the new one. But I delayed beyond the initial 30 day period so was not sure what would happen. I called Google and the Rep told me I might get the original estimated amount or less depending on the device condition and the "market" conditions.

Well, I just got my notice and was blown away. About $100............... MORE than estimated. I had also gotten a store credit which I applied to the PW3. There's also a credit pending for the PW1 tradein.

It really is. When I spoke with them, I was pretty sure that I would get less than the estimate since I was, at least, two weeks after the original deadline. I almost decided not to send it in as I was packing it up - it was so nice and clean out of its case. I really did/do like its form factor better than the new one. So when I opened today's email, I was expecting less. So really a pleasant surprise.

Edited to add: I've received the Fold credit and the PW1 credit back on my credit card. Very nice

Wasn't easy. Can't lie since I honestly did spend like an afternoon watching reviews on the new Fold but snapped out of it fortunately so or I would and ordered one

Well, I will say the $850 trade-in was definitely worth it. Making the ultimate cost much more reasonable.

I do wonder what they do with the old unit?

I'm so happy for you! $850 for a trade in is definitely well worth it so kudos to you buddy!!

I wouldn't care what they did with my old phones as long as I cleared it of all my stuff, it's all there's I have 3 or 4 months until the release so I'll need to be patient and will definitely preorder like shortly after midnight when it's released like what I used to do haaaa!!
