Been after a smaller device that is not nixxed compared to it's bigger version.

The one thing Apple actually gets right.

9 Pro looks good but still got major tensor fear. Price v performance and efficiency not looking great going on the last 3 years.

Will order one and see what it's like. Can always send it back if it's as bad as previous tensors.

I always get the new ones, although this seems to be a very incremental upgrade. Maybe someday we will also get real fast charging. Google has been behind on that front for years.

I for one am one looking forward to the P9P but that is because I'm coming over from iOS. Now to figure out if I would be going with a PW2 or PW3. Kind of looking forward to the idea of having a fitbit compatible device again.

With the chip being reported as just a minor upgrade, and the screen is the only thing really changing. Would it maybe be worth it to just get a super great discount and get the P8P instead? I may not be needing much of the enhancements.

I think one of the biggest improvements will be in the modem it uses to be honest. But for me I am excited about the XL for the size and for all the AI that will be baked into the OS. Google does AI better than anyone else imho.....

I decided to go in with the Pixel 8, with a little bit of hope that we will see a bunch of the features make their way into the Pixel 8 since the chipsets are relatively close according to much of the reporting. I'm pretty stoked regardless to be back in the fold of Android. The only wonky part so far is with 1password not showing up on all of the apps and having to search for the app each time. I'm guessing that will not be the case on future devices.

And if there are some killer things on the Pixel 9 from what I understand is that often there are some solid deals to get people to upgrade. Although, it may be worth just waiting for Pixel 10 at that point.

Upgrade to a more sensible 256Gb as a pre order incentive is welcome, if true for my market.

No flagship in 2024 should be 128.

€200 trade-in bump and 12 months G One AI Premium for the Pro might swing it too. As long as existing G One 2Tb subscribers can take advantage.

If there is a Watch 3 incentive I will buy both. If there is not a watch 3 incentive I will probably just get the 9 pro with 256gb of memory as I want the smaller form factor quite badly and usually the pre-order trade in values are the best and then they go down, and I have an 8 pro. I'll wait for Black Friday sales for the Pixel Watch 3 as I really want the 45mm size. The 41mm size is just too small.

I have been rocking the small S24. I'm really looking forward to the 9Pro. Using a small phone has been great but if the 9 pro and xl are the same but just the size difference. I think that's the one to buy.
