Wondering which bumper people think feels better. I have the Poetic bumper and I think it's terrific and doesn't make the phone feel much bulkier, but I wonder which feels better to hold and feels smaller... Anyone?

I've used both and both have broken. They are both awesome, here's why.

I got the OEM bumper first and it held up pretty well until a drop on a set of weights. Phone was fine, not a scratch on it but a few days later the plastic ring around the phone cracked at the bottom. Considering the circumstances I'm glad it broke and not the phone :) If i could I'd get another one but last i checked they were still outa stock or going for $55 on Amazon.

When the Poetic Borderline became available I picked one up because it was cheap. Within a week the rubber began to separate from the hard plastic. At first I was a little annoyed but I dropped an email to Poetic after the OEM bumper broke because the Borderline has a 3 year warranty. They informed me that they are aware of this issue and that they'll be getting a fixed batch in tomorrow. They offered a replacement, completely free of charge and even allowed me to to change the color to black from yellow. It was very simple and the only info they needed was the order number and they took care of the rest. Great support.

With respect to which one I prefer. I think I like the feel of the Borderline a little better. It's a tad slimmer and just feels better. Assuming the new batch doesn't fall apart that is. I do prefer the look of the OEM one. I think that if the Borderline came in a matte finish it'd be perfect.

Those are my thoughts.

I've also been using the Borderline, just wondered if I should try the stock bumper (which I don't think I'll do).

However, I've also dealt with Poetic's customer support and they're absolutely terrific. Apparently the first two designs of the bumper have been faulty and they're offering free replacements. I shot back an email saying I'd like one and they sent it out the next day, no charge, no questions asked, and didn't even ask me to return my faulty one.

I have also tried both. Originally ordered the Poetic because the OEM was out of stock.

Poetic: came fast (shipped to Canada, sometimes stuff takes forever) and I was impressed with the fit. Someone at the gym accidently pulled my phone down off the top of a 6 ft locker and dropped straight to the floor. No visible damage to phone or bumper. After a week of use though, I had the seperation issue that others noted with earlier batches.

OEM: Ordered this from shopandriod.com when the Poetic let go on me. The quality and fit of the OEM if second to none. The bumper is clearly designed to go with the phone both visually and dimensionally.

After I ordered the OEM, I heard about the replacement warranty with Poetic. Amazing customer service, very fast to ship a replacement at no cost to me and I did not have to ship back the faulty one.

Verdict: I love the OEM look and feel, but for protection (which honestly is minimal for both) they are equal. If you are watching pennies, go for the Poetic. If you are looking for the sleekest, I would say OEM (but you pay for that premium).
