I am using Galaxy J3; when I download music, it saves on internal data drive. I am moving this music to a micro SD card. Once it has been moved; if I go to delete from the internal drive, it also deletes it from the SD card. Why

You just stated that you MOVE the music fils from internal to expanded (external) SD Card storage. Whatever tool you're using to view files is probably showing the same files in the new location. Selecting and deleting them is likely deleting them from the NEW LOCATION.

I just did something like this earlier today, I moved when I meant to click COPY by clicking the wrong button. Easy mistake to make.

What file manager are you using? Maybe someone using it can help you confirm....

I have seen a few cases where on my phone, after transferring files from internal storage to the SD card, it appears that write caching can get in the way of properly finding the files on the SD card immediately.

To work around this, I copy (not move) the files to the SD card, reboot the phone to flush the write cache, then delete the old files from the internal storage.
