Why am I always looking down when I do a selfie?

When I look at myself thru the front facing camera, I'm always looking down. I've tried holding the camera at different heights, but the effect is always the same. Is there any way to correct this, so I'm looking straight ahead?

try holding the camera upside down so that the lens is at the bottom of the screen.

You are most likely looking at the preview. Next time, try looking directly at the selfie camera on you're phone.

You need to look at the camera when taking the picture, not the screen.
