Why am I getting ad pop ups on all my screens? [Samsung Galaxy S6 edge]

I've had Galaxy phones since 2011 and understand many apps have ads. After some sort of update last night they pop up all over my device to include my home screen and keypad when I text. When I click opt out, it wants me to download an app, but I don't know if it's a scam or virus. This is terrible and I want it to stop.

Hi, I had the same problem several months back and turns out the culprit app was "music pro Paradise" which I un-installed to solve my problem.
However after doing a quick search I don't see that app in the play store anymore thank goodness.
My opinion any mp3 downloader app is likely to cause pop-ups.
Hope this helps
J

I would look at any recently installed apps as well as check in the Play Store for any recently updated apps. You may have to uninstall them one by one to find the culprit.

These mostly come from a recent app you just downloaded where they basically fill your phone with ads.. (Lock screen, push notification, icons, etc)

Super annoying

I haven't installed anything but updates and most were from Google looks like. Since when did start spamming?

These popups are always from an app you have installed. The only way to find out is to do like suggested before. Uninstall your apps one at a time till the popups stop.

Thanks I'm trying that now. Hopefully it stops. I think it was a wallpaper app that I updated.
