Why am I getting newsletters that include very-very-very old news?

It happened the second time with Android Central newsletters. Today I got an email newsletter with only one current news article about Asus Zenwatch price cut with a few old news, including a 2012 photo contest, "new" transformer pad in 2012, 2013 Moto X release, and 2014 price of Nexus 10 on ebay. What's the point?
