Why am I getting the following error on my Samsung Galaxy S6 "Unforunately, Gallery Has Stopped"

Hello,

My phone just auto-updated to the "Marshmallow" yesterday. I noticed after it finished that now I cant open my gallery. I keep getting the above mentioned error.

I have tried:
1. Clearing my gallery data and cache
2. Clearing my Camera data and cache
3. Resetting my App Preferences

None of which have worked. Any ideas??

Well before you do a factory reset, which is what i whole-heartedly recommend, you should enter recovery and wipe Cache Partition, you won't lose any data.

MM update has cause this issue, along with many others...."sometimes" its resolved by wiping the cache partition, but more times than not, (in my experience) a full factory reset is the only thing that helped. If you choose this option, be careful to backup all your personal data, by using apps like, Smart Switch and or Heilium, both available in the Play Store.

I personally do a FFR after each major update, regardless of issues or not, but that's just me.
